When does my course start?
After registering online, you’ll gain immediate access to your course. You’ll also receive a welcome email with all necessary details, including login instructions and how to submit prerequisite documents.
How long does it take to complete a course?
The time it takes varies based on individual schedules and subject comfort levels. On average, it takes 12 weeks to finish a course, but you have up to 365 days to complete it. Reach out to discuss your availability and realistic course completion timeline.
Is additional teacher support available?
Yes! Included in your course fees is access to Ontario-based tutors or subject experts for Math, Science, writing-heavy courses, and select specialty topics. Live support is available at no extra cost for eligible courses.
What is the best way to communicate with my teacher?
Students can communicate with teachers through the email i[email protected], our learning management system.
How are the lessons delivered?
Lessons come in various formats to cater to different learning styles. These include written notes, videos from platforms like YouTube, teacher-recorded content, interactive labs, online articles, and tools Student Login.
How are the assessments done?
Assessments are conducted through quizzes, tests, assignments, and discussions. Some assessments will require students to appear on video as part of the evaluation.
How do I write the final exam?
Once all coursework is submitted, you can take the final exam. There is a $20 exam proctoring fee, payable via the Student/Parent Portal. Exams can be taken anytime without prior scheduling using the Integrity Advocate Proctoring Service.
The exam fee must be paid at least two business days before the exam.
Need a hard copy of your final report card?
You can arrange for a courier at your own expense to collect a hard copy from our office. We can also email you a digital version. Contact us at [email protected] to set this up.
Will my home school accept credits earned at LMMHS Online?
Yes, your home school is required to accept credits earned through LMMHS Online and include them in your transcript. If you’re outside Ontario, contact [email protected] to confirm how credits will transfer.
Withdrawal Policy
For Grades 11 and 12, any withdrawals after 5 instructional days following the midterm report will be recorded on the Ontario Student Transcript (OST). Withdrawal from Grade 9 or 10 courses is not recorded.
Note: Instructional days are counted Monday to Friday, regardless of whether the student logs in. ( Will the support be 24/7? Yes)
Is there a Parent Portal?
Yes. Parents can access their child’s progress through a Moodle account. You can log into [here].
Do universities/colleges value online courses differently?
No, credits earned through LMMHS Online are treated the same as any Ontario high school credit. However, always check specific university or college policies on e-learning, repeated courses, or external credits, as they may vary.
How do I register for a course?
You can complete your registration online by browsing available courses and selecting “Buy Now.”
Required Documentation
Prior to starting your course, you must upload proof of prerequisites (e.g., report card, transcript) and valid government-issued photo ID to the Student/Parent Portal (Link).
How long do I have to complete my course?
You have one year from registration to complete your course. Extensions beyond one year are $180. Course changes within 90 days are allowed, but a $180 transfer fee applies after 30 days.
Are there due dates in my course?
Since courses are asynchronous, there are no due dates. However, keep application and graduation deadlines in mind when pacing yourself.
Are tests supervised?
Tests and quizzes throughout the course are not proctored, but students are expected to maintain academic integrity. Violations will have consequences.
Eligibility for Midterm Grades
Your midterm grade is typically submitted when you reach the halfway point in your course, as outlined in the “Welcome to Your Course” lesson. Ensure you meet this milestone if applying to colleges or universities.
Course Completion and Transcripts
Once your course is finished, we will send your report card to your home school to add to your transcript.
Difference Between a Report Card and Transcript
A transcript lists all high school courses and grades, while a report card provides specific course details, the grade received, and teacher feedback.
Final Grades
Your final grade will be processed and available approximately four days after your exam. Report cards are generated and sent to the student’s home school within 2 business days.
Sending Grades to OUAC/OCAS
We will send your midterm and final grades to OUAC or OCAS once you provide your number via the Post-Secondary Transmission Form.
Can I earn my OSSD online?
Yes, students can earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) entirely online. Requirements include 30 credits, the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), and 40 hours of community service.
Hardware & Software Requirements
You’ll need a computer, Chromebook, or Mac with internet, 2GB of RAM, a webcam, and basic software (Adobe Reader, Java, word processor).
Refund Policy
LMMHS Online does not offer refunds. Course transfers are allowed within 90 days, subject to a fee.
Promo Offers
Promotional offers apply only to LMMHS Online courses and cannot be combined.
