At Le Mother Mary High School, we are proud to offer an enriching Co-operative Education (Co-op) Program as part of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) curriculum for Grade 12 students. This opportunity allows students to earn academic credits while gaining real-world work experience in a field related to their career interests.
? What is Co-operative Education?
Co-op is a credit-bearing educational program that integrates classroom learning with practical workplace experience. Students divide their time between in-school instruction and a supervised work placement that aligns with their goals.
✅ Who Can Participate?
- Grade 12 students enrolled in the OSSD program
- Students must have completed the Pre-placement Orientation Sessions
- Open to both local and international students
- Must demonstrate responsibility, maturity, and readiness for the workplace

? Program Structure
- Students typically complete 2 or 4 co-op credits during their Grade 12 year
- Placements may run throughout the semester (half-day) or in a block format
- Each credit = 110 hours of placement work
- Includes Pre-placement Training, Regular Monitoring, and a Final Culminating Project
? International Student Support
For our international students, we offer:
- Support in finding suitable placements
- Guidance with resume building and interview preparation
- Letters of reference and evaluation for university or job applications
