🌟 The Smart, Flexible Path to Graduation Success! 🌟
At Le Mother Mary High School, we’re making it easier than ever for students to meet Ontario’s online learning requirements while unlocking their full potential in the digital age. Wondering about this new graduation policy? We’ve got the answers and the tools to help you succeed!
The Ontario Ministry of Education has introduced a mandate requiring students to complete at least two full online credits as part of their graduation requirement. This rule applies to students entering Grade 9 from the 2020-21 school year onward and is designed to prepare learners for a tech-driven future.
🎓 Tech-Savvy Skills for Life
The goal? Equip students with digital literacy and 21st-century skills they’ll need to excel in post-secondary education, their careers, and beyond.
🌐 Expanded Course Options
Online learning opens doors to courses not always available in traditional settings, giving students the freedom to shape their education around their goals.
💼 Career-Ready Competencies
Employers increasingly value candidates who can navigate and leverage technology. Completing online courses shows you’re ready to thrive in a global, interconnected economy.
At Le Mother Mary High School, we ensure that every online credit you earn with us counts towards this graduation requirement. As a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), we offer:
✅ Flexible Online Learning: Study at your own pace, from anywhere in the world.
✅ Accredited Courses: All our programs align with the Ontario Ministry of Education’s standards.
✅ Expert Guidance: Our dedicated support team ensures you stay on track and meet all graduation requirements.
✅ Seamless Integration: If we’re not your main school, we’ll send official transcripts directly to your home school so your credits are properly counted.
💡 How Does This Apply to Me?
Students entering Grade 9 from 2020-21 or later must complete two online credits to graduate. Adult learners starting in 2023-24 will also need to meet this requirement.
💡 What Courses Qualify?
Only courses from accredited schools like Le Mother Mary High School count.
💡 When Do My Credits Count?
Credits can be earned at any time during secondary school, even under Reach Ahead programs in Grade 8 for eligible students.
💡 How Do Schools Track This?
Schools record completion on your Ontario Student Transcript (OST). At Le Mother Mary, we ensure your progress is documented and shared with your main school for a seamless credit transfer.
Unlike in-person or blended learning environments, our courses are delivered entirely online – no physical presence required, except for supervised exams or tech support.
